Blog # 3

Looking at the different ways style and fashion is reported online, through magazines, and on television it all seemed to be focusing on one thing; how the celebrities were dressing. Online at Style.com it talks about what the celebrities wore to the latest fashion events. It had a main article on what was worn during London Fashion Week.
In magazines the focus is very similar. However, in magazines like Seventeen they focus on how people can create celebrity styles for a lot less. Seventeen magazine also talks about the style of stars on new television shows. They talk about behind the scenes for the shows characters and where they get their inspiration for them.
On television, the show Lives of Style focuses on the fashion shows that occur all around the world. It features the 'Best of the Best" runway fashion, style, beauty and lifestyle in the world. They also do many interviews with famous people in the fashion world.

  2. Everything is way to expensive now, especially clothing. Kids get picked on for what they wear to school or around town. If they aren't wearing what is in, other students decide to be "tough" and pick on them.

  3. Courtney, I completely agree with you on all aspects of this post. I especially love Seventeen Magazine, because I enjoy how it focuses on how ordinary people can look like high-fashion celebrities.

  4. Courtney, I really enjoy fashion but I hate how TV, radio, and magazines only talk about how celebrities are dressing. It's cool that you found that seventeen magazine showed you how to put outfits together for a less price. I like your comparisons between magazines and TV.
